The material made from what mushroom farms leave behind.
Across Vietnam, mushroom farms grow more than food. The stems and offcuts left behind are waste. For us, they are a raw material, and an extra income for the farmers who grow them.
MushroomSkin is what happens when that waste gets blended with natural latex and bonded onto a viscose and lyocell base. The result is 100% bio-based, with the look and hand of leather, made in a factory powered by sun and wind.

How it's made

Sort
The mushrooms are sorted and cleaned, keeping only what works for the material.

Grind
They are ground and blended with natural latex into a paste, around 250g per m2.

Finish
The paste is bonded onto a viscose and lyocell base, then cut and stitched into your sneakers.

What is MushroomSkin?
MushroomSkin is a vegan leather made from mushroom waste from Vietnamese farms. The mushrooms are blended with natural latex and bonded onto a viscose and lyocell base to create a durable, 100% bio-based, leather-like material.
Is MushroomSkin real leather?
No. MushroomSkin contains no animal hide. It is a plant-based alternative that looks and feels like leather, without the animal impact.
Is MushroomSkin™ certified?
Yes. MushroomSkin is PETA-Approved Vegan and certified vegan by The Vegan Society. The material is 100% bio-based.
Is it durable?
Yes. Our materials undergo rigorous flex testing and are only approved if they withstand thousands of cycles without a single defect. Tested in lab and by more than 10,000 satisfied customers.
How do I care for my mushroom sneakers?
Wipe them with a soft, damp cloth and let them air dry. Avoid soaking, direct heat, and harsh solvents. Our sneaker cleaning kit helps keep them looking new.
