The material made from what winemaking leaves behind.
Italy is one of the world's biggest wine producers. Every harvest leaves behind grape skins, seeds, and stems. For most of the industry, that pomace is waste. For us, it's a raw material.
GrapeSkin is what happens when that pomace gets dried, ground, and bound onto a 100% recycled textile backing to create a surface with the hand of leather. The process is 100% Italian, built on the leftovers of winemaking. Over three years we raised the grape content of the coating from 33% to 55%, and the material now carries some of our most distinctive wine-toned sneakers.

The grapes grow across Italy's wine country. After the harvest and the pressing, the skins, seeds, and stems are set aside as pomace.
That pomace is dried, ground, and worked into a finished material on a 100% recycled textile backing. One country, one short supply chain, built on the rhythm of the harvest.

What is GrapeSkin?
GrapeSkin is a vegan leather made from the grape skins, seeds, and stems left over by winemaking. The pomace is dried, ground, and bound onto a 100% recycled textile backing to create a durable, leather-like material.
Is GrapeSkin real leather?
No. GrapeSkin contains no animal hide. It is a plant-based alternative that looks and feels like leather, without the animal impact.
Is GrapeSkin™ certified?
Yes. GrapeSkin is PETA-Approved Vegan and certified vegan by The Vegan Society, with a 100% recycled and traced textile backing. The material also won the Global Change Award.
Is it durable?
Yes. Our materials undergo rigorous flex testing and are only approved if they withstand thousands of cycles without a single defect. Tested in lab and by more than 10,000 satisfied customers.
How do I care for my grape sneakers?
Wipe them with a soft, damp cloth and let them air dry. Avoid soaking, direct heat, and harsh solvents. Our sneaker cleaning kit helps keep them looking new.
