The material made from what mushroom farms leave behind.
Across Vietnam, mushroom farms grow more than food. The stems and offcuts left behind are waste. For us, they are a raw material, and an extra income for the farmers who grow them.
MushroomSkin is what happens when that waste gets blended with natural latex and bonded onto a viscose and lyocell base. The result is 100% bio-based, with the look and hand of leather, made in a factory powered by sun and wind.

Origin
MushroomSkin starts on Vietnamese farms.
Mushrooms are grown for food, and the parts the food industry leaves behind become our raw material. Using them turns a waste stream into a second income for the farmers.
From there the material is finished in a factory powered by solar and wind energy. One short, traceable supply chain.

The process
01
We gather the mushroom waste the food industry leaves behind on Vietnamese farms.
02
The mushrooms are sorted and cleaned, keeping only what works for the material.
03
They are ground and blended with natural latex into a paste, around 250g per m2.
04
The paste is bonded onto a viscose and lyocell base, then cut and stitched into your sneakers.
